Ellie Scotney’s undisputed super bantamweight title fight with Mayelli Flores, originally scheduled for the Nov. 14 Netflix-streamed Jake Paul vs. Gervonta “Tank” Davis undercard, has been postponed.
Scotney, the WBC, WBO and IBF champion, has suffered an undisclosed injury, which will prevent her from facing WBA titlist Flores in an attempt to unify the four 118-pound belts at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

“We wish Ellie Scotney a speedy recovery and look forward to fully supporting her return soon as she continues her mission toward undisputed,” Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, said Monday.
The show, however, will not be short of an undisputed title fight, as Cherneka Johnson will instead now put her four bantamweight belts on the line against Amanda Galle on the Paul vs. Davis card.
Johnson (18-2, 8 KOs) won the WBA bantamweight title with a majority decision over Nina Hughes in May 2024. Their bout is best remembered for a viral mistake, when ring announcer Dan Hennessey initially — and erroneously — read out Hughes as the winner before correcting his error around a minute later.
The New Zealander Johnson then become the beneficiary of Dina Thorslund’s withdrawal from a three-belt unification bout with Shurretta Metcalf on the Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 undercard in July. Thorslund’s exit, due to pregnancy, paved the way for Johnson to unify with Metcalf and for Thorslund’s vacant belts to be on the line once it became clear that her hiatus from the ring would be significant.

Johnson impressed in her ninth-round TKO win over Metcalf to unify the four titles, and now puts them on the line on a massive stage against Galle.
Galle (12-0-1, 1 KO) has won six fights in a row since suffering the lone blemish of her career — a split draw with Jaqueline Mucio Munoz in July 2022. The Canadian picked up the IBO bantamweight crown with a majority decision victory over Niorkis Carreno this past December and featured on MVP’s Quebec card in September, winning a decision over Alondra Yamile Hernandez Mendoza.
Also announced Monday was a change of opponents for Avious Griffin (17-1, 16 KOs). Griffin was scheduled to meet Cesar Francis, but will instead face Justin Cordona (10-1, 5 KOs) in an eight-round welterweight contest.
