The holder of the newest belt in ONE Championship is set to attempt her first defense in September.
Jackie Buntan (27) is scheduled to defend her women’s strawweight kickboxing title against Stella Hemetsberger in the ONE Fight Night 35 main event, per sources with the promotion.
The Filipino-American won the division’s inaugural title at ONE 169 last year by beating women’s kickboxing legend Anissa Meksen.
Yet her new opponent will be almost ten years younger than the aging former GLORY champion.
Austria’s Hemetsberger (26) cut her teeth on the WAKO amateur kickboxing scene where she won a number of medals, including five of the gold variety, as she rose from Hungarian to European to World Championships.
After signing with ONE in 2024, she went on a Friday Fights run, winning two fights by decision before a knockout which really announced her to the world at large.

Buntan will be Hemetsberger’s hardest test by far, though, having been competing at a top level in ONE since 2021, i.e. her entire pro career.
The event will take place on September 5th and, like most ONE Championship cards, will be held in Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Combat Press’ 2024 Female Fighter of the Year will likely be a strong favorite as she looks to bring that belt back home once more to her family in California.

The first scheduled bout for ONE Fight Night 35 is a kickboxing title fight between inaugural ONE strawweight champion Jackie Buntan, and contender Stella Hemetsberger, who will fight live on Prime Video, September 5th, 2025 in Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
