Lautaro Martinez has been on the sidelines since mid-February.
Indeed, he sustained a calf injury in the first leg of Inter’s fateful Champions League knockout tie against Bodo/Glimt.
Therefore, he has missed Inter’s last six games across all competitions.
His absence has weighed heavily on the Nerazzurri’s form, as they only won once in that sequence.

Although Francesco Pio Esposito has fared well in Lautaro’s absence, Marcus Thuram has failed to impress.
Indeed, the Frenchman is still waiting for his first Serie A goal since early February.

As such, Lautaro’s recovery cannot come soon enough.
