Inter Milan are pushing to tie down Denzel Dumfries on a new long-term contract, with the Nerazzurri eager to remove his €25 million release clause before Premier League clubs Newcastle and Liverpool are able to exploit it this summer.

Inter Ready To Give Dumfries Pay Rise To Deter Newcastle & Liverpool Interest

As per L’Interista, Inter are ready to offer Dumfries a deal running until 2029, an extension of his current contract which expires in 2028, at a salary of €5 million net per season.

That represents a €1 million-per-year increase on his current terms and reflects both his importance to the squad and the need to fend off English interest.

Newcastle United, Liverpool, Manchester United and Aston Villa have all been monitoring Dumfries with the release clause set to reactivate in July.

At €25 million, he represents exceptional value for any top Premier League club.

Inter’s message is clear, they want him to stay, and they are prepared to make it worth his while.
