Smone Inzaghi says that Inter Milan are “proud” to be in the FIFA World Cup, and will “give their all” to win the tournament.
The Nerazzurri coach gave his thoughts on the new format of the competition tom DAZN, via FCInter1908.
Inter Milan will be participating in the Club World Cup this summer.
The Nerazzurri are one of two Italian clubs to qualify for the tournament, along with Juventus.
And this edition of the Club World Cup will be a very different kind of competition for every team participating.
First of all, there is the fact that the tournament takes place in the summer. That means that it is at the end of the European club season, rather than midway through it.
Moreover, the expansion of the tournament’s format means that there are far more clubs in it.
That means that there is not just one entrant representing every single federation. Far, far from it in fact.
Inzaghi: “Inter Milan Proud Of FIFA World Cup, Will Give Our All To Win It”
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi said that “It’s certainly a great feeling to be a part of the Club World Cup.”
“It’s like a little Olympics for football,” said the Nerazzurri coach.
“We feel a sense of great pride about it.”
Inzaghi noted that “It hasn’t been easy to get there, with the path we’ve taken over the last few years in the Champions League.”
“We’ll try to give our all when we get there.”
Simone Inzaghi then noted that “There are 32 different teams from five continents.”
“It will be something new for everyone.”
The Inter coach added that “We knew that we’d be in this competition at the start of the season.”
“We made sure to have even more thorough preparation, so that we’d be ready for it, and to represent the name of Inter all around the world.”
