Word in early August was that tight end Zach Ertz has been cleared for all football activities after tearing his ACL last December, but the veteran remains a free agent with the start of the regular season a little over a week away.
One possible path back to the field that’s been bandied about has been a return to the Eagles. Ertz spent his first eight-plus seasons with the team and helped them win a Super Bowl before moving on to Arizona in a 2021 trade.
