As the Paul brothers, Jake and Logan, have gone from YouTube stardom to the combat sports world over the years, their desire to fight more high-profile names has only increased.

For Jake, that’s meant bouts with Nate Robinson, Nate Diaz, Mike Tyson, Anthony Joshua and more. But Logan, who has focused more on WWE in recent years — though he did take on Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a 2021 exhibition — appears ready to take on a new, famous challenger one way or another.

Over recent weeks, Logan Paul has been challenging NFL players — namely, Tom Brady — to fight him, claiming that “not a single football player could beat me in a boxing match.” That’s resulted in some public back-and-forth exchanges not just with Brady, but also former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell and a current NFL offensive lineman.

Here’s what to know about Paul calling out NFL players to fight him.

Logan Paul boxing challenge

Paul, on his podcast “ImPaulsive,” recently threw out a challenge to any and all NFL players. After he had a back-and-forth with Tom Brady regarding whether or not Paul was a better athlete than most NFL players, Paul claimed that he would pay any current or former NFL star $1 million if they could beat him in a boxing match.

“Not a single football player could beat me in a boxing match,” Paul said. “A million dollars. You come to the gym, we put on boxing gloves, we’ll see how it goes. Not a single one. There’s levels to this s—.”

After somebody else mentioned Myles Garrett, Paul responded that he would “throttle” Garrett in a fight.

“Myles Garrett, Puka Nacua, Tom Brady, Gronk, Sam Darnold, doesn’t matter. A million dollars.”

Tom Brady, Logan Paul beef explained

Paul’s challenge toward any NFL player to beat him in a fight came after a feud with Tom Brady, who had appeared on the “ImPaulsive” podcast recently. While on the podcast, Paul and Brady disagreed on whether or not Paul could be considered a top athlete as a WWE star, with Paul set to make an appearance at Brady’s upcoming Fanatics Flag Football Classic.

“You’re a good athlete, but [football players] are on another level,” Brady said.

Paul responded by saying he’s at “the highest level.”

“It’s cute,” Brady said. “I love WWE, it’s very cute, but honestly, this is like real football. This is real competition.”

Brady then elaborated on his comments on X, saying Paul had the “right attitude” and knew his “effort will be there.”

“I hope people understand the level of competition this game is going to be. If you’re on my team you’re going to be locked in, all out, and we’re going to not just win… but dominate,” Brady wrote. “I do think [Logan Paul] has the right attitude and the effort will be there. How far that gets him will remain to be seen.”

Later on, Paul spoke further on his disagreement with Brady, doubling down on his take that he’s a better athlete than most football players — which led to his boxing challenge toward any NFL player.

“If you put me and Tom Brady up athletically against one another in a majority of sports, I bet I’d be more ‘athletic,’” Paul said. “He used the word ‘cute’ when talking about WWE. I think in many ways, football is also cute. I’m a boxer, and you can probably put most NFL players and basketball players in a ring and they’d probably get their a– kicked by real boxers.”

NFL players react to Logan Paul boxing challenge

After Paul’s public, $1 million challenge toward NFL players, a few responded.

The most notable of the bunch was a former running back-turned-boxer, as Le’Veon Bell, ho who currently owns a 2-1 professional boxing record, called Paul out.

“STOP DUCKING,” Bell wrote on X. “bro tryna fight an NFL player that’s never fought before .. let’s set it up bro, we all heard you say you can beat any NFL player .. we can fight in April, the NFL draft is in PITTSBURGH .. we can fight NFL draft weekend! let’s make it happen.”

Paul, however, responded to that post by declining Bell’s offer — he said that Bell is no longer in the NFL, “can actually fight, so I’d have to properly train,” and “there’s no money here because you’re not a draw.”

A few other football players responded to Paul’s fight challenge, as the actor/influencer shared some messages he got from Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia, Dallas Cowboys center Brock Hoffman and the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions linebacker Tae Crowder.

In his responses to Suamataia, Hoffman and Crowder, Paul said that $1 million would be on the line with professional judges, six three-minute rounds with 10-ounce gloves, and any match would be held in Puerto Rico.

“This will be the easiest $3M of my life,” Paul wrote with the screenshots of his messages with the players.

Logan Paul fight history

Paul has primarily focused his recent combat career in WWE, but before he made his debut there in 2021, he did have a few notable boxing fights.

The first was in 2018, when he fought British YouTuber KSI. The fight ended as a majority draw, with two judges scoring the fight even at 57–57 and a third judge scoring 58–57 in favor of KSI.

In 2019, the two YouTube stars fought a second time. In the rematch, KSI won in a split decision, with two judges scoring the fight 57–54 and 56–55 for KSI, and one judge scoring it 56–55 in favor of Paul.

In June 2021, Paul took on Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition bout, but no winner was announced. Mayweather was estimated to have landed 43 punches, while Paul had 28.

Most recently, in October 2023, Paul fought MMA star Dillon Danis. In the fight, Paul was named the winner as Danis was disqualified for attempting a takedown and an illegal choke.
