The second WTA 1000 tournament of the year gets underway on Sunday at the Dubai Tennis Championships.
Nine of the top 10 women’s players will be in action in Dubai including World No 1 Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and defending champion Jasmie Paolini. Newly-minted Australian Open champions Madison Keys is the only top-10 player missing in action as she is recovering from a leg injury.
The top eight seeds have been given a bye into the second round. The first round, which starts on Sunday, will see the likes of Paula Badosa, Daria Kasatkina and Mirra Andreeva in action.
