Charlie Woods’ high school golf team once again looks like a top contender for the Florida state championship.

Woods, son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, is playing for the Benjamin School golf team in FHSAA competition this fall.

Benjamin’s boys golf team, led by veteran head coach Toby Harbeck, holds a No. 3 national ranking and No. 1 state ranking as of Sept. 29 according to iWanamaker’s high school rankings.

Woods has carried momentum from a breakout summer into the varsity season. He shot 66 to win the Palm League Invitational and lead the Bucs to a team victory on Sept. 15 at Miami’s Biltmore Golf Course.

The Bucs most recently won the South Florida PGA Invitational (West) at the Twin Eagles Club in Naples. Woods shot 4-under in the two-day event to finish tied for fourth.

Woods is far from alone in building the Bucs’ lofty ranking. He is flanked by six other golfers ranked in Florida’s top 100, including breakout freshman Clint Lewis, who is Palm Beach County’s top-ranked varsity player so far this season at No. 11 in Florida.

Here’s a look at how Woods has fared in varsity golf competition so far this season:
