Alex Bowman is on the pole for Sunday’s Straight Talk Wireless 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Bowman took advantage of a cooler track later in the session under cloudy skies to take the top spot with a lap of 31.982 seconds. Josh Berry, one week after his first Cup Series win, will start second on Sunday.

Several drivers brushed the outside wall during Saturday’s practice, with the right-side bodies showing damage similar to when the series is at Darlington as cars try to find speed on the outside lane.
