Grant Enfinger is digging out of a large points hole to start the 2026 NASCAR Truck Series season. Through four races, Enfinger sits 17th in the standings with an 18-point deficit to the Chase bubble. However, the CR7 Motorsports driver sits 101 points behind Chandler Smith for the overall lead.

With the new Chase format, Enfinger has to earn more points, or his chances of winning the championship will decrease. There are no more playoff points, so a driver’s spot in the regular season standings carries all of the weight for bonus points. As of now, the driver of the No. 9 truck would miss the Chase all together.

It has been a tough start for Enfinger, who finished in 22nd place or worse in the straight races to start the 2026 NASCAR season. Enfinger was able to turn it around with a seventh-place effort at Darlington Raceway; however, the No. 9 team has to bring more consistent to put himself in a better spot moving forward.
