Cliffhangers: Video of views of new Big Cedar Lodge golf course
A behind-the-scenes look at Big Cedar Lodge’s new “Cliffhangers” par-3 golf course adjacent the Tiger Woods-designed Payne’s Valley Golf Course.
Now that summer is officially underway, it’s never been a better time to grab your clubs, call up some buddies and hit the links — golf season is in full swing.
And with well more than 300 courses in the state, Missourians aren’t short on options to choose from. Golfweek, part of the USA TODAY network, released its 2025 ranking of each state’s best public golf courses, including the top public courses in Missouri.
The courses are determined by a panel consisting of hundreds of members who continually evaluate courses based on things like layout, maintenance and environment. Members then give an overall rating of 1 to 10, which are then averaged to create each course’s final score.
With all that out of the way, here are the top 10 golf courses in the Show Me State anyone can play, according to Golfweek.
