Winning a major is difficult. Winning two in one season is rare.

The first three men’s majors in 2025 are in the books with Rory McIlroy (Masters), Scottie Scheffler (PGA Championship) and J.J. Spaun (U.S. Open) having claimed the titles.

It first happened in 1925 and has now occured just 16 times overall, the most recent coming with Xander Schauffele’s win at Royal Troon in the 2024 Open Championship.

Here’s a closer look at those who won two majors, with one being the British, in the same year.
