More than 19 million Americans tried on-course golf for the first time from 2020 through 2025. That should be one of the most encouraging numbers the golf business has seen in years.
Here is the number that should make every operator, coach and equipment company uncomfortable: Only about one in four beginners becomes what the National Golf Foundation calls a committed golfer.
