BLOOMING GROVE — When Jason Burnett took over this year as Blooming Grove’s Athletic Director he didn’t just lead the Lions back to the 3A football playoffs, Burnett has lifted the entire athletic program in the Grove.
Not only is Coach Aaron Ehly’s baseball team off to a strong start this spring and Coach Joanna Smith’s Lady Lions are off to their best starts in years, running out to a 16-2 record this spring, but Burnett’s powerlifting teams have had an impact as well. Kenadi Hood finished eighth in the Girls Powerlifting State meet and Burnett’s boys powerlifting team sent three boys (Josh Lovett, Lane Covington and Grayson Baumgartner) to the state meet in Abilene this weekend.
