Galatasaray are still a long way from meeting Inter Milan’s asking price for midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908. They report that the Nerazzurri want €30 million, whilst Galatasaray are only offering €15 million.
Galatasaray’s interest in Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has become virtually the worst-kept secret in football.
Whilst the Turkish champions have yet to directly approach Inter, they’ve made it clear behind the scenes.

However, obviously everything would hinge on Galatasaray making an offer for Calhanoglu that convinces Inter.
And in this respect, the Gazzetta report, there is still a massive distance.
The Nerazzurri want €30 million at the minimum for Calhanoglu. This would allow them to invest in a suitable replacement, with Atalanta’s Ederson their top target.
On the other hand, Galatasaray aren’t going anywhere near that high.
The Istanbul giants want to pay Inter around €15 million for Calhanoglu.
Therefore, if Galatasaray do not substantially raise their bid, then there would be little scope for a deal for Calhanoglu.
