Galatasaray Reject Napoli’s Updated Transfer Terms Involving Man Utd, PSG-Linked Star

Galatasaray are reportedly ready to trigger Victor Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, with the transfer expected to be finalized within the week. While the payment structure is still being ironed out, the Turkish club appear confident about completing the deal.

Manchester United and PSG had both been linked to the striker, with GIVE ME SPORT previously noting United’s growing concern over PSG’s position as favorites to activate the £63 million clause and meet Osimhen’s wage demands. But that move ultimately fell through.

Now, according to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen wants to remain with Galatasaray. The club have made a major push to keep him by offering a salary package worth €16 million per year, which the striker has agreed to.

The final obstacle remains Napoli. The Italian side are holding firm on the €75 million release clause and have shown no interest in negotiating a lower fee.

On Monday, Fabrizio Romano reported that Galatasaray rejected Napoli’s updated terms for a deal involving Osimhen, though talks could resume if the conditions change again.

Napoli are asking for €40 million upfront, another €35 million to be paid by 2026, and a sell-on clause. Galatasaray, however, want to pay €35 million by 2027 and are not willing to include any sell-on clause.

In his latest column for CaughtOffside, journalist Alfredo Pedullà added that while Galatasaray are eager to activate the striker’s release clause, Napoli expect more than just intent—they want full financial assurances before moving forward.

“Napoli want more,” Pedullà wrote. “Not just vague promises of splitting the payment in instalments, but a real final guarantee, like a proper bank guarantee or an irrevocable letter of credit.

“In short: cash straight away or bulletproof guarantees. Now it’s up to Galatasaray to fully meet Napoli’s demands. There’s a reason why Napoli want every cent: it’s a matter of funding their incoming transfers and the investment in their next striker.”
