Mar. 5—The Junior Invitational at Sage Valley Golf Club, the most prestigious event in junior golf, on Wednesday confirmed its 2025 field and announced new tournament updates for the 14th edition of this storied event, which takes place March 19-22. The 60-player field showcases eight of the top 10 junior players in the world and the future of golf with 36 boys and 24 girls representing 20 countries.
Defending boys’ champion Giovanni Binaghi from Italy returns to Sage Valley, along with the 2024 American Junior Golf Association Rolex Boys Player of the Year Miles Russell. Russell made history last year when he became the youngest player to make the cut on the Korn Ferry Tour and tied for 20th at the LECOM Suncoast Classic as a high school freshman.
Charlie Woods, son of 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, will tee it up for the first time in the Junior Invitational alongside leading international players such as Lev Grinberg and Kartik Singh.
Headlining the girls’ field is defending champion and world No. 1 Asterisk Talley. Talley is making her second appearance in the Junior Invitational following a win at the Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex in January and runner-up finishes in both the 2024 U.S. Girls Junior and U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.
Eight of the top 10 ranked girls on the Junior Golf Scoreboard are in the field at Sage Valley, including three high school seniors in Avery McCrery (committed to Duke), Scarlett Schremmer (committed to Texas A&M) and Elizabeth Rudisill (committed to Vanderbilt), as well as Gianna Clemente (2024 AJGA Rolex Girls Player of the Year), Aphrodite Deng, Jude Lee and Nikki Oh.
Kai Trump, President Donald Trump’s oldest granddaughter, will make her debut in the Junior Invitational this year after recently committing to play college golf at the University of Miami.
For the first time in its history, the Junior Invitational will be contested across four rounds (72 holes) from March 19-22. A limited number of tickets are available for sale on a first-come, first-served basis and can be purchased at https://tinyurl.com/mudfduv9.
The starter’s ceremony begins at 9:15 a.m. March 19 with tee times for the opening round slated for 9:30 a.m. Tee times begin at 9 a.m. for the next three rounds, and the winners will be honored in a closing ceremony on March 22 immediately following the final round of play.
