Megha Ganne’s magical Oregon run continues, as she captured her first professional title at the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic in Pendleton. It was around this time last year that Ganne won the U.S. Women’s Amateur at Bandon Dunes. Last week, she finished T-32 at the LPGA event in Portland.
Ganne, 22, won on the second hole of a playoff at Wildhorse Golf Course against Cholcheva Wongras.

“I won the U.S. Amateur in Oregon, and this type of scenery kind of reminded me of it with how far out you could see, so I was having a little deja vu there, and the sudden-death was fitting, I guess,” said Ganne. “My nerves are probably a little bit higher than I’d like to admit. Definitely more nervous in this than I have been in the past and other big moments I’ve played … but I definitely relied on prior experience I had in sudden-death playoffs and that 1v1 environment is something that I’d like to think that I have a little bit of an edge in.”

Stanford’s Ganne shot 68-63-66 to finish at 19 under. After both players birdied the first extra hole, Ganne won with par on the second.
Wongras, a 19-year-old from Thailand who turned pro at age 15, won earlier this season at the Reliance Matrix Championship, where she set the tour’s 72-hole scoring record at 26 under.

With the victory, Ganne moved up to No. 15 on the Epson Tour’s Race for the Card points list. The top 15 players at the end of the season earn LPGA status for 2027.
After helping Stanford win the NCAA Championship in late May, Ganne made her pro debut at the U.S. Women’s Open at Riviera. The 2026 Inkster Award winner earned Epson Tour status through the LPGA Collegiate Advancement Pathway. She won in her seventh start as a pro on the developmental tour. She has one other top-10 finish.
