WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Clarettes this morning.
The 32-year-old has signed a one-year deal at Turf Moor with the option of an additional year.

Galton left Manchester United in the summer after spending eight successful years with the club. The winger made 172 appearances for The Red Devils in all competitions, scoring 44 goals. She won the Barclays WSL2 title with Manchester United in 2018/2019 while she lifted the Adobe Women’s FA Cup five years later. Galton also featured for Manchester United in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. She left the club as their second-highest goalscorer of all-time.
Galton will now look to use her experience to help Burnley compete strongly in Barclays WSL2.
After joining The Clarettes, Galton said “It’s very, very exciting actually. I wasn’t too sure what was going to happen, but Burnley have come in for me and I absolutely saidyes, so I’m excited to get started.
“The training ground is gorgeous – I love it. It’s exactly what you need and it’s nice being integrated with everybody, which makes it feel homely. I’ve done as much as I could to keep fit during pre-season, and I’ve got a little bit of work to do before I’m fully ready to be back on the pitch. You’ll hopefully see me soon, as I’ve missed playing somuch.
“I’m going to work very hard and give everything I can to this club.”
Burnley are next in action when they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday evening.
