Read it, and believe it: Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have agreed to a fight. The two boxing legends will face off for an exhibition bout sometime next year.

The fight does not have an announced date or location yet, but they are targeting a time in spring 2026. TMZ first announced the news, with Uncrowned confirming the details. Tyson also announced the fight on X Thursday.

The exhibition will reportedly not appear on either of their official records, which is especially good for Mayweather, who currently boasts a stunning 50-0 record across pro fights.

Tyson teased a poster for the bout on his social media, with the matchup reportedly being billed as “Legend vs. Legend.”

It’s an epic matchup for an exhibition, but also a head-scratcher: Tyson, 59, came out of retirement in 2024 for an uninspiring loss to Jake Paul. Prior to that, Tyson’s last professional fight was in 2005.

Mayweather, who is 48, had his last professional bout in 2017. Since then, he has appeared in a few exhibitions, including his own fight against Paul’s brother, Logan Paul. His last exhibition was last August, against John Gotti III — more than a year after the first fight between Mayweather and Gotti was called off due to a chaotic melee between the two fighters’ teams.

His last official fight was a 10th-round TKO win over longtime MMA star Conor McGregor in 2017.
