On Sunday, the Florida Panthers announced four new members of their Hockey Operations staff.
Among those hires were Josef Boumedienne, who will join the club as Vice President of Hockey Operations; Josh Burke, Hockey Operations Data Engineer; Brooks Christensen, Amateur Scout; and Killian Hamilton, Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Throughout the off-season, the Panthers lost several members in different departments. Leading up to the season the Panthers have made additions to ammend those losses.
Boumedienne joins the Panthers after serving as the GM of Sweden’s men’s national ice hockey team for the past two seasons, including at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games and the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off.
The 48-year-old was a former NHL defenseman with the New Jersey Devils, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Washington Capitals, playing 47 games while scoring four goals and 16 points.
Following his NHL career, Boumedienne worked as the director of European scouting for the Columbus Blue Jackets for nine seasons.

Another notable name is Christensen. In July, the Everett Silvertips of the WHL announced that Christensen would leave the organization to join the Panthers, but Florida recently announced the move.
Christensen served as the Silvertips’ director of scouting for two seasons and won a WHL championship. Before that, he worked as the GM of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in the BCHL.
