Central Texas will be represented by three teams — Lake Travis, Westlake and Vandegrift — when the UIL girls Class 6A state golf tournament convenes Monday in Georgetown.

Vandegrift, the two-time defending state champion, hopes to defend its title. But Lake Travis and Westlake finished 1-2 in the regional tournament and are considered to be among the favorites to win state.

Here are five golfers to watch Monday and Tuesday at White Wing Golf Club.

Kaleigh Babineaux, Lake Travis

The senior has had a memorable spring, finishing second at the District 26-6A tournament and 15th at the Region IV tournament. The Cavs’ team captain has an average round of 74.5 and will tee it up for Nebraska next season.

Addison Bandelier, Vandegrift

A freshman last year, Bandelier was a big part of the Vipers’ Class 6A team championship, shooting 74-74 over two days. As a sophomore she earned All-District 25-6A first-team honors as well as making the All-Regional team.

Isabel Emanuels, Westlake

The junior has been sharp throughout the spring, winning the District 26-6A individual championship as well as the Region IV tournament. The Georgia pledge finished third at the Class 6A state tournament last year.

Audrey McIntyre, Lake Travis

The Cavaliers senior finished third at the District 26-6A tournament and enters state with an average round score of 75.4. A Bowling Green commit, she had top-10 finishes at the state meet during her freshman and sophomore years.

Ava Osborne, Westlake

A rising sophomore, Osborne returns to state after finishing 12th in the individual race last year. This season she finished in seventh place in the District 26-6A tournament and tied for 11th at the Region IV tournament.
