Following a series of weather delays, Saturday night’s match between FC Cincinnati and D.C. United has officially been postponed.
The game was initially scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST, but was delayed by over two hours due to lightning in the area.
Pitch conditions and player safety were then taken into account when officials decided to formally cancel the match.
Cincinnati sit sixth in the Eastern Conference table while D.C. United are 12th.
