Week 2 of the NFL season has arrived, and it’s time to get those bets in. It’s been a week that’s already seen the Green Bay Packers look dominant in a 27-18 Thursday night win over the Washington Commanders and injury news for Brock Purdy, moving the 49ers from 7-point road favorites in New Orleans down to -3.

We’ve compiled where the public is betting at BetMGM sportsbooks, along with some notable wagers and asked around at sportsbooks to find out where the sharp action has come in on Sunday’s games.

Bookmaker quotes

Giants-Cowboys

Christian Cipollini, BetMGM trader: “We originally preseason were at Cowboys -3, now up to -6. We re-opened Dallas -3.5 on Sunday, by 9 p.m. ET we were at -4.5. Majority of the money has come in on the Cowboys. I would assume the money will continue on Dallas. Public is usually reactive on what it saw last week.”

Ethan Useloff, Fanatics NFL trader: “It opened at -3, got pushed all the way out to -6 we are now at -5.5. This is going to continue to move, as we get closer. to kickoff I think you’ll find different numbers at different books. Ton of Cowboys money on the money line (90%+ tickets and money). And we have 78% of bets, 68% of money on Dallas to cover.”

Broncos-Colts

Thomas Gable, sportsbook director at The Borgata: “Broncos laying 2 on the road to Indy,. I didn’t raise Daniel Jones much after that performance. Very, very balanced action both on ticket count and handle. No real need at this point.”

Bears-Lions

Gable: “Mostly Lions money here, currently laying 5.5. Not sure it gets to 6, but if it does will be very temporary. This game doesn’t have the most action of the 1 p.m. games.”

Cipollini: “Bounced between 5.5 and 6. We always end up taking more Lions action, and this is one where I think we’ll need the Bears at kickoff.”

Eagles-Chiefs

Gable: “We opened this game pick and Eagles are now up to 1. Mostly Eagles money as you’d expect. More than likely we’ll need the Chiefs here. Playing at Arrowhead is obviously different than Super Bowl.”

Cipollini: “We opened this preseason Chiefs -1.5, now Eagles -1. That’s due a little to the Xavier Worthy injury and Rashee Rice news. We’re getting more Eagles bets so far. I’ll be interested to see where this one lands. Without Worthy, I think this could move a little more in the Eagles’ favor and have more Eagles bets by kickoff.

Fanatics: “This was Chiefs -1 on the lookahead, Eagles became favorites around Sunday night and have been favorites since then. We’re at 1 flat, market is between PK and 1.5 for the Eagles. I expect this to stay around PK. For us, 76% of tickets, 85% on both the ML and spread on Philly.”
