Artem Dovbyk is not done with his time in the Italian capital despite falling subject to several transfer rumors linking him with an exit from the club in the summer.

The Ukrainian forward is coming off a season with 17 goals to his name and the future yet to be written.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dovbyk has made it clear to the people close to him that he wishes to stay at Roma and try to improve under new coach Gian Piero Gasperini who is known for revitalizing his strikers.

Dovbyk has asked the club to continue relying on him as the team’s starting striker next season.

As a result of this request, Roma are likely to keep him and sell Shomurodov and Tammy Abraham instead, while bringing a more functional second striker to Gasperini’s orders.
