Everything was going right for the Dodgers in Game 2 of the World Series against the Yankees before the seventh inning.

Up 4-1 with two outs and Shohei Ohtani on first base, the presumptive NL MVP attempted to steal second base, but Yankees catcher Austin Wells threw him out to end the frame. However, Ohtani stayed on the ground as a hush came through Dodger Stadium.

The trainers and manager Dave Roberts came out to see what happened to their superstar before he was helped up and went into the dugout holding his left arm.

After the game, Roberts said Ohtani suffered a subluxation of his left shoulder, which is a partial dislocation, and that he would undergo further testing on Sunday.

Well, it sounds as if all is okay in Dodger Land, with Roberts telling ESPN’s Karl Ravech that Ohtani is “in a great spot and will be playing in Game 3 tomorrow.”

Ohtani has really picked up his production in the postseason after a slow start. He had four hits in the Dodgers’ NLDS series against the San Diego Padres before picking up eight hits in their NLCS series against the Mets.

In Game 1 of the World Series, Ohtani went 1-for-5 with a double, but his hit and getting to third base on an error by Gleyber Torres led to the Dodgers tying the game and eventually winning in extra innings. Before his exit on Saturday, Ohtani was 0-for-3 with a walk.

Game 3 is set for Monday at Yankee Stadium.
