Deontay Wilder vs. Derek Chisora is on April 4. The main card starts at 2 p.m. ET and the main event should begin around 5:45 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

Chisora (36-13) is a former British, Commonwealth, and European champion. The veteran has twice fought for the WBC title, losing against Tyson Fury and Vitali Klitschko. “War” has won three straight since his third loss against Fury in 2022.

The 42-year-old is finishing his career with his 50th pro bout. Calm heading into the fight, Chisora is ready to flip a switch when he enters the ring for the final time.

“Right now, we’re just happy to be in the same room hanging out with each other. But when he [Deontay Wilder] arrives in April for that first press conference, it’s done. The friendship is out the window. Then, after four, five, six rounds, when we hug and shake, we’ll be back as brothers,” Chisora said.

A former WBC heavyweight champion, Wilder (44-4-1) is known for his vicious knockout power, with 43 wins via the power punch. After going 0-2-1 against Tyson Fury for heavyweight gold, “The Bronze Bomber” has since gone 2-2 in his last four fights.

The 40-year-old is not ready to hang up the gloves just yet. To get back to the top of boxing, he must return to the U.K. for the first time since 2013 and get past Chisora.

“I’ve been through a lot outside of the ring. I’ve had to do a lot of work mentally. We’re fighters, but we’re not robots. We have lives outside of boxing and emotions. In life, no one person has it all figured out. But here I am now, rebuilding myself. I still have more left. The fire is still in me, and it will show,” Wilder said.
