Denny Hamlin won the NASCAR Cup Series race Sunday at Darlington Raceway on Throwback Weekend for his second consecutive win.
Hamlin surged to the lead after pit stops during the day’s final caution, his pit crew gaining him two positions to put the No. 11 Toyota on point for the restart in NASCAR Overtime.

Hamlin topped the leaderboard over William Byron, Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick and Ryan Blaney.
Byron led the first 243 laps Sunday before green-flag pit stops brought his No. 24 Chevrolet to pit road, relinquishing the lead to Hamlin at Lap 244 for the first time all day after sweeping each of the opening stages. Reddick cycled to the lead ahead of Joey Logano, Bell and Byron at Lap 248.
Kyle Larson, whose throwback scheme earned ‘Best in Show’ honors, crashed at Lap 4 when his No. 5 Chevrolet spun and nosed into the backstretch’s inside wall. A spin off the front bumper of Bubba Wallace with four laps remaining nearly replicated the spin identically, bringing out the yellow flag to trigger NASCAR Overtime.
Chris Buescher, Ross Chastain, Chase Elliott, Ty Gibbs and Kyle Busch completed the top 10 in Sunday’s final rundown.
Brad Keselowski was running inside the top 10 before a round of green-flag pit stops began at Lap 131. However, the wheel nut of Keselowski’s right rear detached from his No. 6 Ford, necessitating a caution for debris at Lap 138.
Josh Berry, winner at Las Vegas in March, spun from contact at Lap 195 with Reddick. Reddick’s No. 45 Toyota drifted high exiting Turn 2, his right-rear fender hitting Berry’s left front and sending it into a slide and into the inside wall.
