The checkered flag is out for the NASCAR Cup Series at Darlington Raceway.

Denny Hamlin won Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington to earn his second consecutive victory coming off last week’s win in Martinsville.

Hamlin took two tires on the final pit stop to take the lead going into overtime and held off the field for his fifth win at Darlington.

This is Hamlin’s 56th career victory, moving to 11th all-time and breaking a tie with Rusty Wallace.

William Byron swept the first two stages, leading all 185 laps in those stages and became the second driver since stage racing began in 2017 to lead each lap of the first two stages. Chase Elliott was the first to do so in the 2022 Martinsville race.

Byron led 243 laps but a late green flag pit stop left Byron behind, he finished second.
