William Byron was one spot short of sweeping all the playoff points and winning Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington.
But his second-place finish did increase his NASCAR Cup Series regular-season points lead to nearly a full race over Denny Hamlin.
Hamlin’s victory on Sunday pushed him up to second in the regular-season standings. Kyle Larson’s 37th-place finish dropped him down to sixth.
