William Byron’s NASCAR Cup Series regular-season points lead is down to 19 points with seven races remaining after finishing last in the Chicago street race on July 6.

Chase Elliott is 13 points behind his Hendrick Motorsports teammate coming out of the weekend, with third-place Kyle Larson 19 points behind Byron. The regular-season champion earns 15 playoff points, raising the importance of leading the points at the end of the regular season at Daytona.

Shane van Gisbergen won the Grant Park 165 on Sunday to add to his playoff points total, now up to 11 (the fifth most among Cup drivers).
