The coaching staff also decided not to include Erik Lira or Rodolfo Rotondi in order to focus on the match against León.
The Machine opted to prioritize its preparation for Matchday 3 of the 2025 Apertura and the upcoming debut in the Leagues Cup, where they will face Seattle Sounders, LA Galaxy, and Colorado Rapids. Therefore, adjustments were made to the call-up list.
Ángel Sepúlveda was included at the last minute and will join Mier and Ditta as the three Cruz Azul players in the All-Star Game.
His presence strengthens the team’s representation in the match between Liga MX and the MLS.
