Corey Heim powered to his third victory of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, commanding the final stage and surviving a flurry of overtime challenges Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway.

Heim’s No. 11 Tricon Garage Toyota led 96 of the 174 laps in Friday’s SpeedyCash.com 250, driving away to a 0.279-second margin of victory at the checkered flag. His first win at the 1.5-mile Fort Worth track was the 14th of his Craftsman Truck Series career.

Daniel Hemric started second and placed second, Rajah Caruth was third with Tyler Ankrum fourth and Tanner Gray completing the top five. Ben Rhodes held a slim lead at the white flag, but faded to a sixth-place result in the final lap.

Grant Enfinger and Heim divided the stage wins, with Enfinger leading twice for 18 laps. His fortunes went south with 13 laps remaining, when Stewart Friesen’s No. 52 Toyota broke loose and made contact with Enfinger’s No. 9 Chevrolet in a contest for second place, sending both trucks into the outside retaining wall and collecting Chandler Smith’s No. 38 in the melee. That forced a red flag with 11 laps left.

Heim took the lead for the first time on Lap 52 and convincingly led the majority of the final stage to pad his lead in the Craftsman Truck Series standings.

The Craftsman Truck Series’ next race is the Heart of America 200, scheduled Saturday, May 10 (7:30 p.m. ET, FS1, NRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) at Kansas Speedway.
