Chelsea have decided to stick with Enzo Maresca for at least two full seasons, regardless of how this campaign ends.

According to The Telegraph, the club’s leadership remains confident in their decision to appoint the Italian last summer.

He was handed a five-year deal after guiding Leicester City back to the Premier League in the 2023–24 season.

The board’s intention has always been to allow him enough time to build a solid foundation with the current squad.

That plan will not change even if the Blues fail to meet some of their primary targets this season.

Chelsea are fifth in the Premier League table with 63 points and could still qualify for the Champions League.

They are also through to the Europa Conference League final.

Enzo Maresca could still secure a European trophy for Chelsea

Maresca has the chance to win his first trophy as Chelsea manager this season.

The Blues will face Spanish side Real Betis in the Europa Conference League final. Lifting that trophy would be a good starting point for Maresca’s project at the club.

If Chelsea win the final and secure a Champions League place, the campaign will be viewed as successful.

Even if they miss out on Europe’s top competition, Chelsea will not make sudden decisions regarding the manager.

Internally, the club will see it as a disappointment rather than a crisis requiring immediate action.

Maresca’s long-term plan remains intact, and the board are fully behind his approach and vision for the team.

Chelsea’s next match is against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. They will then face Nottingham Forest in their final Premier League fixture of the season.
