The top four quarterbacks selected in the 2026 NFL Draft were all unsigned as of morning of Wednesday, July 22. Carson Beck ended the gridlock.
Beck signed his rookie deal, the Arizona Cardinals announced Wednesday. All seven members of the Cardinals’ 2026 draft class, who reported to training camp Wednesday, have now inked their rookie deals.

Beck was drafted in the third round (pick No. 65) in this year’s draft. The 24-year-old rookie is expected to battle with Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew for Arizona’s starting quarterback job.
Beck played 55 college games with Miami (2025) and Georgia (2020-24). He passed for 11,725 yards and 88 touchdowns while compiling a 37-6 record as a starter.
According to Over The Cap, Beck’s four-year contract is worth $7.4 million.
Fernando Mendoza, Ty Simpson remain unsigned
Rookie contracts are slotted and predetermined. But the top four quarterbacks selected in the 2026 draft, Fernando Mendoza, Ty Simpson, Carson Beck and Drew Allar, were all unsigned as of Wednesday morning because of unresolved terms in their contracts.

Quarterbacks typically to have more leverage to negotiate certain details in their rookie contracts. Signing bonus cash flow, guaranteed money details and offset language are negotiable terms in rookie contracts.
Beck, Simpson and Allar are represented by agents part of the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) while Mendoza is represented by an agent in Excel Sports Management.
Now that Beck has signed his rookie deal, expect it to have a domino effect on the rest of the QB rookie class.
