Cameron Kuchar is through to the match play portion of the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.

Kuchar, a rising senior at Jupiter High School and son of PGA Tour veteran Matt Kuchar, shot even-par in the second round on July 22 at Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas.

He finished the two-day stroke play competition 3-over par and tied for 50th, directly on the final cut line.

Kuchar, a TCU men’s golf commit, kept his composure on Tuesday, following every one of his three bogeys with a birdie on the next hole.

He will face California’s Kailer Stone, who led the tournament after the first day of stroke play, in the Round of 64 as the No. 50 overall seed. Their tee time is 11 a.m. July 23.

Kuchar was the only Palm Beach County golfer among four entries to qualify for match play.

Benjamin alum Pavel Tsar and Dwyer senior Wylie Inman both missed the cut at 10-over par while Benjamin junior Charlie Woods finished 14-over.

The U.S. Junior Amateur features a 264-player field with stroke play at Trinity Forest Golf Club and Brook Hollow Golf Club, both in Dallas.

The field will cut to the top 64 after two rounds of stroke play. Trinity Forest will then host championship match play rounds with the final match scheduled for July 26.

Past winners of the U.S. Junior Amateur include current world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (2013), Jordan Spieth (2009, 2011) and Tiger Woods (1991, 1992, 1993).
