Inter Milan put Cagliari to the sword at the Unipol Domus on Saturday, as Cristian Chivu strolled to a second consecutive Serie A win.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Chivu’s tenure is taking shape after a stuttering start.

Although back-to-back losses to Udinese and Juventus put Chivu under scrutiny, the 44-year-old has already bounced back.

Indeed, Saturday’s win in Sardinia was Inter’s third on the trot across all competitions.

Furthermore, the Nerazzurri scored precisely two goals in each triumph.

Determined to prove his credentials, Cristian Chivu has steadied the ship after a disappointing start.

More importantly, Inter have shown signs of improvement across all areas, especially in the final third.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri looked fluid in attack against Cagliari despite netting only two goals.

Luckily for Inter, numerous wasted opportunities didn’t backfire on Saturday.

However, they would be naive to believe the same wastefulness will go unpunished against better opposition.
