All signs point to a CM Punk-Seth Rollins-Roman Reigns triple threat at ‘Mania. A report from PW Insider (h/t Ortman) has now confirmed that things will trend in that direction.
It was easy to think that Reigns-Punk or Reigns-Rollins would main event one of the ‘Mania nights this year. Instead, WWE has seemingly regressed into its bag of tropes to simply toss all three into a trios match that has the potential to wash over solo feuds that deserve the spotlight.
An unfortunate buy, this one. And with Jey Uso apparently main-eventing one night and Cody Rhodes the other, no matter how good the build is, it feels like this match wouldn’t even get a top billing. An odd thing, given the stature of all three men, their must-see storyline feuds and potentially remaining time left as full-time Superstars.
