LIV Golf face a highly uncertain future right now, despite the fact that CEO Scott O’Neil recently announced that he had secured fresh investment into the league.

That came after Saudi Arabia’s PIF announced back in April that they would be withdrawing their financial support from LIV Golf at the end of the 2026 season.

DeChambeau has previously suggested that LIV Golf can survive even if some of the league’s best players leave for pastures new at the end of this season.

And now he has opened up about what he believes LIV Golf has to offer golf fans the world over, while sending a plea for everyone to give the league another chance.

Bryson DeChambeau finally breaks silence on the future of LIV Golf

After his opening round in Indianapolis on Thursday, the two-time US Open champion was asked to share his thoughts on the future of LIV Golf.

Yeah, I think, look, it’s tough. It’s not easy. We definitely have a lot against us,” DeChambeau admitted.

But I think behind the scenes we’ve got a lot of people that are working hard to make this possible for not only all the players that are out here but all the fans that have come out to these events and the economic impact that we’ve made in all these places.

Whether it’s South Africa, here in Indy or Australia, numerous places across the world, the UK, all the different places we’ve been in the U.S. Even Nashville when we played a few years ago was unbelievable.

I think we just have a bit of a responsibility to continue to show this. If it works, it works; awesome. If it doesn’t, we’ll figure things out. Time will move on, and I would say that time heals things.

I hope people can see that we actually bring value to the game of golf. My wish is that people give us one more shot and be open-minded.

Bryson DeChambeau comments on the current state of his game

DeChambeau posted a round of five-under par on Thursday at LIV Golf Indianapolis, and he is sitting three shots off the lead heading into the second round.

The 32-year-old spoke to reporters after his opening round at The Club at Chatham Hills, and he was asked to give his verdict on the current state of his game.

Well, the expectations are trying to be the best I possibly can be, and I know what I’ve done before, and when I get over a tee shot and I hit the shot like I did on the last hole and then pulled the shot, and hit a fat, chunk shot wedge on a par-5 that’s a pretty easy birdie hole, it’s kind of disappointing, DeChambeau explained.

But that’s the perfectionist in me, and that’s the competitor in me.

I wish I could have finished differently, but look, I played a great round of golf.

I’m not really going to complain; I’m just going to focus on the things I need to work on and go get better.
