CHASKA, Minn. – Brooke Henderson made her major championship debut as an aunt at Hazeltine on Thursday. At 4:51 a.m., sister Brittany gave birth to a baby girl. Golf Channel’s Grant Boone broke the news during the broadcast of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Both mom and baby are doing well.

Brooke, who won this championship in 2016, was in the top 5 midway through her first round at Hazeltine. She has her cousin, Ryan Henderson, on the bag.

Brooke Henderson and her caddie and sister Brittany Henderson embrace on the 18th green after Brooke won the 2025 CPKC Women’s Open at Mississaugua Golf and Country Club in Mississauga, Ontario.

Brittany, a former touring pro who is married to Zach Sepanik, began caddying for her younger sister in 2016 and was on the bag for 13 of Brooke’s 14 LPGA victories. The only one she missed was the first as both were in the field at the 2015 Cambia Portland Classic.

After the event’s organizers extended Brittany a sponsor invite, Brooke decided to try to Monday qualify for the Portland event.

The rest is history.
