After a tough series with the New York Mets, the Atlanta Braves returned to Truist Park for a four game set with the Washington Nationals. Though a close one, the Braves came out on top during game one, defeating the Nats 5-4.
Grant Holmes turned in a shaky start, allowing three runs through 4.2 frames. Fortunately, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Mike Yastrzemski picked him up and each homered.
Thursday’s win makes for the Braves’ 64th of the season. The series continues tonight at 7:15 ET behind Bryce Elder.
