As Inter Milan flooded Cremonese with goals, La Gazzetta dello Sport flooded Inter with high ratings, with Ange-Yoan Bonny, Nicolo Barella and Federico Dimarco all shining for the Nerazzurri.

Cristian Chivu’s side were described as “ferocious, hungry and overwhelming,” with the only blemish being the late consolation goal conceded.

The best of the lot was Bonny, who on his first start for the Nerazzurri scored once and provided three assists.

“The vice-Thuram delivers a performance worthy of the starter,” wrote GdS.

Furthermore, they add to “forget Taremi or Arnautovic – the upgrade seems clear.”

Bonny was awarded a match-best 8/10, earning the title of ‘best on the pitch’.

Both Nicolo Barella and Federico Dimarco received 7.5 ratings, as they found their best form again.

Barella shone as a regista, while Dimarco’s goal and assist reflected a surge in confidence and consistency after recent rotations.

Behind them, Lautaro Martinez and Manuel Akanji scored solid 7s, the captain leading by example with the opening goal.

Chivu himself was rated 7, praised for signalling “a clear transition” towards his own footballing identity.

All other starters earned above a 6, including De Vrij, Bastoni, Frattesi, and Mkhitaryan.

Meanwhile Sommer received a ‘political’ 6, largely untested throughout.

The only under-performer was Denzel Dumfries, rated 5, who “failed to drag or be dragged,” visibly frustrated after being substituted.

In short, Inter’s 4-1 win was a statement of dominance and Bonny’s star turn made him the obvious man of the match.
