Buffalo Bills have made another post-draft signing, this time it’s on offense — former Lions tight end Shane Zylstra has been added on a one-year contract.
On Monday, the team agreed to terms on a one-year deal with former Chiefs edge rusher Mike Danna.
The signing’s corresponding move — to keep the Bills roster at the maximum allowable figure of 90 players — was the release of kicker Maddux Trujillo who had signed a futures deal with Buffalo in January.

Zylstra is a 29-year-old tight end with 18 catches for 136 yards and four receiving scores in the regular season in his four years of NFL action. He’s listed at 6’4” and 244 pounds and went undrafted out of Minnesota State in 2020.
Zylstra started his carer with the Vikings but was cut at the end of his August before being signed by the Lions. He spent the 2021 – 2025 seasons in Detroit as one of the depth tight ends on the roster. All four of his touchdowns came in 2022.
