Guillaume Restes (20) is coming off a difficult season at formative club at Toulouse FC. The France youth international exploded onto the scene during the 2023/24 season, putting in some spectacular performances, including in the UEFA Europa League.
However, Restes was much more inconsistent last season, whilst it was also a campaign hampered by a series of small injuries. However, there are no major concerns regarding his long-term progression and he is still perceived as one of the most exciting goalkeeping prospects in European football, as proven by the interest of a high-profile club.
As per L’Équipe, the goalkeeper is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga giants view Restes as a long-term target and have admired the Frenchman since his breakthrough. However, a move this summer does not look to be on the cards. They would consider making their move next summer.
Restes could, therefore, remain at Toulouse this summer. Alternatively, he could remain in France and make the move to Lille OSC. Les Dogues have placed him on their shortlist if they lose Lucas Chevalier, a target for Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa.
