As is always the case in spring, speculation is rife around the Barcelona squad and who will or will not be there at the end of the summer. The Catalan side have briefed the media that they will be within their salary limit for the first time in four years, potentially allowing them more spending capacity as a result.
It also incentivises Barcelona to make sales more than in previous years, with the knowledge they can use the entirety of their transfer fees and salary limit space on a new addititon. Recent weeks have seen Jules Kounde, Alejandro Balde and Ferran Torres all linked with the exit door this summer, with Premier League interest in all three.

Barcelona will consider dressing room harmony in decisions
The decisions made on their future – which the players obviously have the final say in – will not be based purely on performances, say Sport. One of the factors the club are keen to pay attention to is the dressing room harmony when making decisions, with offers expected to arrive for Torres and Balde this summer.
Balde shares a close relationship with Lamine Yamal, with the pair sharing friends off the pitch. Meanwhile Torres is very close to star midfielder Pedri; the pair live close to each other, frequently spend time together outside of club duties, and often share a car to training. The Catalan daily say both Director of Football Deco and manager Hansi Flick place a premium on the atmosphere among the players.

Flick frequent to address atmosphere
Since arriving at Barcelona, Flick has been highly complementary of the dressing atmosphere, calling it the best he has been in charge of. Early on this season he reminded his players that ‘ego was the enemy of success’, and has been keen to hold up hard-working players dedicated to the collective as examples.
