Arsenal took the lead at the Gtech Stadium just beyond the hour mark but it lasted only 11 minutes as Brentford responded in fine style.
The Gunners had greatly struggled in the first half at the Gtech with the former Chelsea winger part of a frontline that combined for just one shot in the opening 45 minutes.

However, Madueke connected with Piero Hincapié’s cross just after the hour to float a fine header past Caoimhín Kelleher.
Madueke came off shortly after his injury and his opener was cancelled out moments later when Keane Lewis-Potter got a head onto Michael Kayode’s stunning long throw. Declan Rice had missed a golden chance to double the Gunners’ lead shortly before.
