The Buccos will face off against one of the league’s hottest pitchers in Eduardo Rodriguez, who is 9-3 with a 2.64 ERA so far this season. Rodriguez made the first All-Star team in his 11-year career this past season, as he has emerged as Arizona’s best pitcher this year. He picked up a win in his last start on July 24 against the Washington Nationals. He pitched six innings, giving up seven hits and two runs in a 3-2 victory in the nation’s capital.
It won’t be easy for the Pirates facing off against Rodriguez, but the team needs to find a way to finish off the homestand on the right foot.
