NBA fans are getting a new look at the Hall of Fame career of Allen Iverson in the upcoming Prime Video documentary series ALLEN IV3RSON.
The series will debut on Thursday, Oct. 23, Prime Video announced Tuesday.
Prime Video also released an official teaser for the documentary alongside the news.
The series has been co-produced by Shaquille O’Neal’s Jersey Legends and Stephen Curry’s Unanimous Media.
The project was originally described by Prime Video when greenlit in 2023 as giving Iverson an opportunity to share “a more reflective side of his present-day self, as he takes us on a journey through his storied history into the present day where he realizes his cultural impact long after his playing days have come to an end.”
Iverson played for Georgetown and was eventually drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 1996 after a legal battle and overturned conviction described in the 2010 documentary No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson.
He was named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year in 1997, and had climbed to MVP status while leading the Sixers to the NBA Finals in 2001.
Iverson was named to the Hall of Fame in 2016, and honored by the Sixers with the unveiling of a statue last April.
The release of ALLEN IV3RSON is set to take place two days after the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder tip off the 2025-26 NBA season on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
