Among them is Owen Beck, as he has the potential to become a solid two-way center in the NHL.
Beck spent most of last season in the AHL with the Laval Rocket, where he recorded 13 goals, 20 assists, 33 points, and a plus-6 rating in 58 games. He also played in a career-high 15 NHL games last season for the Habs, where he posted one goal, 24 hits, and a plus-4 rating.

During the 2024-25 season with Laval, Beck posted 15 goals and 44 points in 64 games. He also recorded an assist in 12 games for Montreal that campaign. Overall, the 2022 second-round pick has shown promise, but he is still looking to take that next step.
With Beck being a smart defensive forward who plays a steady game, there is no question that he is a prospect Canadiens fans should be watching closely next season. The possibility of him taking a step forward with his development is there, and it would be great to see the 22-year-old earn more chances at the NHL level with Montreal in 2026-27.
